Planning description

:

1. Project name: Construction planning of Phu Cat district to 2040, vision to 2050.

2. Scope of boundaries, scale, and planning period:

a) Location and boundary scope: The boundary scope for the construction planning of Phu Cat district includes the entire administrative boundary of Phu Cat district with 18 affiliated administrative units, including 02 towns and 16 communes. The boundaries are as follows:

- North borders: Phu My district and Hoai An district;

- South borders: An Nhon town and Tuy Phuoc district;

- East borders: East Sea;

- West borders: Tay Son district and Vinh Thanh district.

b) Scale and planning period:

- Area scale: 680.7km2.

- Planning period: Short-term period to 2030; long-term period to 2040; vision to 2050.

3. Objectives, nature and functions of planning:

- Planning the construction of Phu Cat district to develop appropriate criteria according to Decision No. 558/QD-TTg dated April 5, 2016 of the Prime Minister on promulgating criteria for new rural districts and regulations on towns and cities under provincial level to complete the task of building new rural areas; specifying the construction planning project of Binh Dinh province until 2035 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1672/QD-TTg dated November 30, 2018;

- In line with the local socio-economic development orientation, industry planning, master planning orientation of the national urban system, and construction planning of Binh Dinh province until 2035.

- Is a comprehensive economic area of industry, trade, urban areas; services, tourism, agriculture, playing an important role in the economic and social development of Binh Dinh province.

- Is a key area for tourism development of the province based on the potential of marine ecosystems and local historical and cultural values.

- Is a national air, road and sea transport service center.
