- Ensuring electricity supply to the load and meeting the economic and social development needs of Long An province, Ho Chi Minh City and Tien Giang Province (according to local names before merging).
Reduce the load for 500/220 kV transformers at 500 kV My Tho, Nha Be, Phu Lam, Phu My, Phu My and 220 kV lines existing in the region.
Relieve the capacity emitted from LNG Long An power plant into the national electricity system through the 220 kV and 500 kV synchronous grid.
