- The NFS-60 cell line originates from mice (Mus musculus). - Source of tissue: blood. - Disease: leukemia (white blood cell cancer). - Sample source: adult mice, F1 hybrids between the NFS and DBA/2 strains; cells were established from white blood cells after Cas-Br-M induced leukemia in mice. - Cell type: Lymphoblast - Growth characteristics: suspension culture. - Biological properties: NFS-60 is a mouse myeloblast cell line that depends on IL-3 for growth and maintenance in vitro. This cell line has the potential to differentiate into both myeloid and lymphoid lineages, and responds to IL-3, GM-CSF, G-CSF, and erythropoietin. NFS-60 is used as a model system for studying hematopoiesis and is a suitable cell line for testing G-CSF activity in mice and humans. - Cell line authentication: by STR profiling to confirm the identity of the cell line. - Free from Mycoplasma, confirmed by PCR and fluorescence-based Mycoplasma detection methods. - Cell cultures are monitored daily to exclude bacterial, fungal, and yeast contamination. - Biosafety level: BSL-1
