What is Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator is a software-based authentication tool from Google. It provides two-step verification services using time-based one-time password algorithms and HMAC-based one-time password algorithms, authenticating users during the account login process. Using Google Authenticator enhances the security of user accounts during login.

The authentication process with Google Authenticator is quite simple. Users just need to install the app on their smartphone or add it as a computer utility, and it automatically displays a code every few seconds.

Why does the National Bidding Network System recommend using Google Authenticator to receive authentication codes?

Currently, when logging into accounts on the National Bidding Network System, users can choose one of two methods for account OTP authentication: authentication by Email or through the Google Authenticator app.

However, choosing email-based authentication can expose users to the risk of not receiving the OTP due to various reasons such as network congestion, email server errors, email server policies of the organization, or a full mailbox. This leads to users being unable to carry out transactions on the System.

Therefore, to ensure more stability in receiving OTP authentication codes, the new National Bidding Network System advises users to use the Google Authenticator app to ensure safety and enhance account security during login.
*** Note: From 01/05/2023, the e-GP system will stop providing OTP via email to users. Instead, users must use the Google Authenticator app to receive OTP for transactions on the National Bidding Network System.

How to change the method of receiving authentication codes to Google Authenticator on the new e-GP system?

After successfully logging into your personal account on the new e-GP, follow these steps to switch to authentication via Google Authenticator:
